WAUSAU, WI – Miss Wausau Area 2026 Janae Bond and Miss Wausau Area’s Teen 2026 Chloe Munguia recently represented central Wisconsin at the Miss Wisconsin and Miss Wisconsin’s Teen competitions in New Berlin, where they joined contestants from across the state for a week focused on scholarship, service, and personal growth.
Bond, a digital marketing student at Northcentral Technical College, represented the Wausau area with her community service initiative, “Not Just a Limp,” which raises awareness about canine bone cancer and supports affected families. Munguia, a student at D.C. Everest Senior High School, promoted “Resilience in Action,” an initiative dedicated to increasing awareness and support for teen mental health. Both contestants wardrobe selection was sponsored by PickyGlam Bridal of Appleton.
Throughout the competition, both titleholders participated in private interviews, on-stage questions, talent performances, and community events while serving as ambassadors for the Miss Wausau Area Scholarship Organization. The Miss Wisconsin program provides contestants with opportunities to develop leadership skills, advocate for causes they are passionate about, and compete for scholarships.
“Janae and Chloe represented our organization and community with professionalism, kindness, and determination throughout their time at Miss Wisconsin,” said Executive Director Jenny Stanke. “While awards and titles are exciting, the true purpose of this program is to empower young women to grow as leaders and make a difference in their communities. We could not be more proud of all they have accomplished this year.”
Bond and Munguia will continue serving as titleholders throughout the remainder of their year, appearing at local events and advancing their community service initiatives across central Wisconsin. They will conclude their Wausau Area titles on November 7th, 2026, at the Miss Wausau Area 2027 Scholarship Competition. Both have been active ambassadors for the organization, using their platforms to inspire others through service, leadership, and advocacy.
